Sections of walkways closed off. Camp hosts seemed a little bossy.

It is always so relaxing on the water. Hosts are always pleasant. Did have a guest when the locks was broken so they didn’t get to see the boats come through. Disappointed for them. Wish some of the spots could be saved for Florida residents. I can’t get in Franklin or Ortona until May. Not right.

Love this campground! We have stayed here several times in several different sites. It is extremely quiet and peaceful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean with nice hot water for showers. There are two circles of campsites, and the bathrooms serve 20-30 sites per bathroom. Each bathroom has two showers per male/female, and two toilets per male/female. We like sites 21-30 along the river the most. It is a little windier, but there's a better view of the water. Today I watched the manatees feed along the shore. Pretty fun! I've also seen alligators in the water. All the other sites are great too! We plan to stay here again.

We went for a weeklong trip, only to find out that there was no fishing allowed. The bridges and fishing piers were closed.

One of my favorite places to stay in Florida. My 3rd time here I had to move once because it's getting to be that time of year here in Florida but I went from a space that was near the bridge to a space at the beginning near the ranger station where I have stayed on my previous stays. The Staff here is always very nice and helpful. Watch out for little frogs in the power pedestals they might just give you a fright when you open to power up.

Beautiful, clean and quiet campground. We had a great spot where we could watch the boats go through the locks. Area to walk the dog. Primary activity seemed to be fishing and we caught up on reading. No actual hiking but we went to nearby LaBelle and walked around the town and though their park and that was pleasant.
