Ortona South Campground is praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and friendly, helpful staff, creating a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Many campers enjoy watching the boats and wildlife, with stunning sunrises and sunsets enhancing their experience. I was only at Ortona for two nights but thoroughly enjoyed the campground, nature, and the friendliness of neighbors and staff. Campground and facilities were well maintained. I will definitely return when I have more time to explore.

Need to stock up since LaBelle (the closest town, which does have great shopping and restaurants) is about 10 miles. Camp hosts are excellent, friendly & helpful. Entertainment is peaceful relaxation watching the boats lock through, lots of birds, and saw an alligator & several river otters in the canal that cuts through the middle of the Cg. Excellent Episcopal church about 7 miles west, and LaBelle has a great library next to a lovely park on tthe river, nice neighborhood to walk.

Very nice campground! Quiet, the sites are space apart well, and its fun watching the boats go through the locks! The bathrooms/showers are clean and well kept.

Wonderfully quiet place, fishing pier is closed after latest storm; no visible damage. Should be functioning soon....

A small, but typical corps of engineers campground. Very clean and so pleasantly quiet. Nice staff and price was great too. Overall, I give Ortona a 5 / 5.
