Had a canal lot. Very well maintained and good view of the boat traffic. Restrooms were older, but clean and more than adequate.
We were visiting friends at a campground in Labelle and this was a perfect location.
The access road has several 90 degree turns and is gravel. Slow driving is a must. It’s also the access road to a gravel quarry, so be aware of dump truck traffic.
The campground is not affected by the commercial traffic, just the approach.
We’ll visit Ortona South again.

Disappointed in the park this time. Does not seem as well taken care of.

The camping experience was very nice, the campground clean and well-maintained. We had site 2 with a super view of the river. The only negative was the attitude of the camp host who was very unfriendly. When checking out at 11:00 he stopped by and asked if there was a problem as it was 11:05. We advised him there was an issue with our rear jacks and his comment was, "go ahead and go, they'll clear and the next camper is here and waiting." It was our understanding check-in is 12:00. Other than that, all was good.

Was able to get a same day reservation for one night traveling across state. Park had a level paved site with electric and water hookups. Restroom/shower facility was clean. Although I didn't need it, there is an on-site host for any issues. Had a nice, quiet night!

Beautiful park at the lock. We were in site which 23, which was on the water, very private, with level gravel pad and grassy surround.

Beautiful park! Love the peace views, the staff was very nice and accommendating. Only take away would be the shower and bath house, they were outdated and didn't have enough water pressure. However, it looked as if a update was coming. We almost don't want to give a great review as we would love to keep Ortona our little secret.
