The Hideaway Retreat

This place was truly magical! We were upgraded to a better location to put our tent than what I had originally booked. I was so happy with the opportunity to upgrade! Was bummed not to get to meet Jules while there but the 3 ladies we interacted with in the office were very friendly and accommodating. The guy who was working the grounds was also friendly and answered questions we had. He was spraying each site with bug smoke while we were there. The view and proximity to the water is so incredible. The bathroom and laundry facilities were very nice. We did a load of laundry while on site. I slept better in my tent at this campground than anywhere else. The proximity to the main road was a little loud at times but you can't help that! The beach are is lovely! I saw a couple dolphins swimming in the water in front of the campground, a rainbow 🌈 the night wr arrived and found a cool mushroom! Lots of cats 🐈 to welcome you and visit with if you like cats which I do. The trees. Lighting and sites are awesome and very well maintained!! We will definitely come back with our camper in the future. This time we were in a tent.

The Hideaway Retreat in Navarre is truly a hidden gem. After dealing with the hustle and bustle of Highway 98 traffic, it felt incredible to turn into this shaded, peaceful beachfront campground. The moment I started driving through the property, I could feel myself relaxing. It honestly restored my zen. The beautiful trees, quiet atmosphere, and laid back beach setting made it feel like I was driving through a yoga studio. Such a relaxing, calming place to stay or visit.

Absolutely amazing campground, especially for a cat lover! Seeing all the cats around made being away from my own cats during a long trip much easier. They would come and go through our campsite as they pleased, but they never bothered us at all.
The campground has a super cute community area where campers can gather, hang out, and play cornhole. The bathrooms were charming, and the showers were absolutely amazing. There was also a lovely private beach area to enjoy.
The staff were incredibly sweet. We had seen videos of the campground online before visiting, and it honestly exceeded all of our expectations. Had a wonderful evening at the Hideaway Retreat. It’s located right on the sound so the ocean breeze was quite comfortable and the ocean was lovely. Most folks use RVs and the convenient hookups. I just used a pop up rooftop tent on my truck. The bath house was convenient and clean. I didn’t use their wifi or laundry room but they are available if you need that. The only small issue is that they are a no fire camp ground…which really takes away from my camping experience. But all and all, it was a pleasant camping trip.

This place was great! The trees everywhere made a nice escape from the heat. Clean. Campsites were nice although a bit close together. Booking was easy - I was able to get a reallly great couple of spots for my family and I to be right next to each other. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very family friendly - my kids were out riding their bikes and making friends with the other campers, even at dark it felt safe. The beach was nice -- don't expect it to be the clear blue waters like the ocean side would be because it's in a bay, but the beaches were clean and calm and safer in this bay are for kids (no big waves or as strong of a current). My dog loved it also. Would recommend.
