What Guests Are Saying

Burns Lake Campground offers a beautiful, natural setting with great opportunities for wildlife viewing and stargazing. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the sites and the friendly campground host. However, some guests have noted occasional rowdiness, particularly on weekends, and the need for better management of noise and campsite reservations.

Isolated and out of the grid campground just 12 miles away from Everglades City. The hosts keep restroom clean and garbage is collected daily. Rangers patrol de campground frequently. Do not go close to the lake and do not take your pet close to the lake either . It is infected with alligators. The lake is not safe either not even for boating , it is extremely deep, and the Florida heat create current toward the bottom, even if you do not see. That is not a natural lake but an artificial reservoir from where the ground was taken to build the campground soil above the Everglades sea grass

I love Burns Lake Campground. The place is very quiet and tranquil in the mist of nature. The hosts there are awesome people. Going back again very soon. You can do kayaking/canoeing nearby. They also have backcountry trails nearby plus other activities as well.

  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.

Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
