What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground is praised for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great stop for those traveling through the Everglades. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained sites and the presence of wildlife, including alligators. While mosquitoes can be a nuisance, especially in June, the overall experience remains positive, with many guests planning to return.

Excellent check in with latest info for wildlife , general dos and donts. Pond was almost full from recent rainfall. Mosquito level minimal in the evenings and not much during the day if any at all. Stayed for 2 days end of Feb 2024. Days were warm , not so humid , nights were cool. Bathrooms were very clean. Campsite was full for my stay and least four volunteers present for general checkin and site upkeep.

Beautiful campground. Paved level sites. Enough space. Convenient to kayaking (Turner Road) ,airboat tours, swamp tours (Clyde Butcher Gallery), hiking and boardwalk trails. Would definitely stay here again.

My RV is a 40 ft Class A. The sites can accommodate my RV but the road is too narrow to allow backing into the sites without getting off into the grass. It wasn't a problem but could be if there has been a lot of rain.
Its actually a nice little campground but cell reception is terrible.

Beautiful sites and very quiet campground. Loved seeing the mist rise on the pond in the mornings. Hosts really care about the campground. Great base for visit to Shark Valley and also for Big Cypress.
