Awesome little campground with large wooded sites. I wouldn't say it was big rig friendly but doable. We have an Alliance Paradigm 29.5 fifthwheel. You must be aware of the overhanging trees especially exiting the hwy and at the bend in loop A [swing wide]. The B loop seemed a little more big rig friendly but just the same research you site location and dimensions. When we visited [Thanksgiving weekend] the place was filled to capacity yet well maintained and the rest rooms were in good order. The campground hosts were beyond nice and more than willing to offer up help or advice. The lake is beautiful, there's nice trails to explore, just a nice park overall. Nothing fancy just a great place to view nature and relax.

My husband and I decided to try this place and we were so impressed! Beautiful lake views, hiking trail, dog-friendly. Clean bathrooms with showers. No electricity but that is fine for us because we have solar. Water pickets are available throughout campgrounds. Kayak, canoe and paddle boards are available for rent. Ice and wood available for purchase. We just loved this place. Quiet quaint campground.. So peaceful! We meet the host Jerry & Tari, very nice people. Looking forward to our next trip there!

Very relaxing,
The camp host were so helpful and the place was the cleanest we have camped at.
The showers were awesome, hot water felt good in the cold weather. Everything was so handy and the campsites were very large. This place gets 5 stars from us.

Clearwater Lake Recreation Area is tops on our list of favorite camping spots! Beautiful woods, private camp sites, and very hospitable, helpful staff. It's also a great place for hiking, and a central spot for paddling other Ocala streams and lakes, particularly Alexander and Juniper Springs. We love this place!
