What Guests Are Saying

Sarasota Lakes RV Resort is a clean and well-maintained facility with friendly residents and a variety of activities, making it suitable for retirees seeking a calm environment. However, it may not be ideal for families or those seeking a traditional RV resort experience due to its mixed-use layout and proximity to airport noise. While the resort has positive aspects such as a nice pool and good-sized RV sites, some guests experienced issues with site reservations and cleanliness in the bathhouse.

If you’re wanting an RV resort/park, this isn’t the place for you. If you have kids, this place isn’t for you. If you’re retired or want an extremely calm and quiet place, this is for you. I gave it 3 stars because it’s literally one or the other. It’s certainly not bad, it’s just not for everyone. Apparently the homes(that are oddly mixed in with RV spots, not separate) are independently owned and not by the park? It’s as weird as using a QR code to get in is. When you get off the main roads, it’s extremely tight. I managed to pull out but drove on the grass about 5ft in with my 40ft bumper pull. The only real 1 star issue would be the bath house(pictured), they literally look like prison showers and are not clean feeling. They very well could be clean, but when it’s original, it certainly doesn’t feel that way. The tennis courts look like a prison yard with the chain link and all, lol(pictured). Seems the owner/landlord could reinvest in some upgrades to actually make it feel like a resort versus weird setup and dated buildings. I wouldn’t be back, but I didn’t hate the place either.

Nice park with mostly permanent homes and a few RV spaces. Well-kept pool and grounds. Nice place to stay.

First of all this is a very nice resort. The place is clean and well maintained. The people seem very freindly and it is located perfectly between Sarasota and Bradenton. The RV sites are good size for larger RV's if that is what you are renting a spot for. I really like a lot of things about this place. Why the 3 stars?

First I booked an RV site a few months early. I paid extra to lock in the site I wanted. I was getting there on a day the office was not open .( Sunday) They changed the site without letting me know . When I got there there were tickets on the door with site numbers but mine was not there. I looked at my last email again and notice they changed my site to Silver 80 when I had Silver 4 booked. The new site was OK but they should have let me know or put my name on the door whwn I got there. Why I I paid a Lock fee I don;t understand. You lose 1 star for that.

Next the airport noise was loud but was 20 times worse on the weekend. By the end of my 12 days I was tired of it. It started at 6;00am and most nights did not quit until 11:30 pm. The weekends were very loud and busy. I can't believe people that live there can handle it. At times it is deafening ! For this they lose another strar.

Would I stay here again? It would not be my first choice. It would be my last choice.

Again this is a very clean resort but it has it's issues.

Our home for the month of February. Such a great spot. Everyone is extremely friendly. Good vibe. Great pool, shuffleboard and pickleball or tennis. Someone asked how are those planes going by since we are so close to the airport. After the first day you don’t even notice them.
