Site 11 was great considering we knew going in there was no water, electric or dump at the actual site so we expected a true boondocking experience in our trailer and that is exactly we got. We were here in late April which is probably one of the last few cool nights so it was perfect. Upon Arrival we were greeted with smiles from the staff and went directly to our site. We stopped at the dump station to fill our tank with fresh Potable water then proceeded to our site to set up. Site comes a nice flat even paved pad, 1 large metal picnic table, 1 charcoal grill,. 1 metal firepit with a grill on top for cooking and 1 big BEAR box. Juniper springs allows the use of Generators during the day until 9pm. We only used ours to top the batteries off since we have 2 lithium batteries installed. There were other Rv's in this loop and tents sprinkled throughout. Site 11 was a very short walk to the bath house. The Showers had hot water but they were on 30 second timers so you would have to keep hitting the button while showering. No biggie. The bathrooms were dated and lots of spiders so if you send you wife or kids in and hear a scream they probably ran into one. Plenty of toilet paper available but a very rustic cabin feel but they did the job. The grounds were clean and rustic. It would be nice to have a big trash bin by the bathhouses. There was plenty of wildlife. We saw deer, a family of racoons, a snake and plenty of mosquitos and bees. Its the Ocala national forest so that is what is expected. The springs were nice, small compared to others but nice. This spring has about 80% seagrass at the bottom so if that bothers you wear swim shoes. The rocks on the edge are very slippery so use caution. There werebaby fish and 1 turtle in the springs. Its a fun place to relax in and around the water. Bring a floatie to relax too. There was a group with a loud speaker early at 8am but staff shut that down fast. They check coolers so NO ALCOHOL!! lol

People partied until 2:00am so you couldn't sleep. Then the kayak run was so full on tree logs that we got stuck on them all the time. I was told they have to clear them by a hand saw and their not aloud to use an electric saw. That's a red tape ridiculous rule the State has. We paid $80 to get stuck constantly. Let them clear the run!!!!!

The spring was beautiful. There was a lot of people as we booked through a weekend and our area was rather noisy even during quiet hours. There’s also a LOT of spiders in the dish washing area which was spooky, but that is generally to be expected at a campsite. Other than the spring, there wasn’t much to do, but it was very nice just to laze around in our tent and relax.

The kayaking i did not enjoy. We kept getting stuck by hitting logs and having to dodge tree limbs. The two little rapids towards the end was fine but the first 4 to 5 miles is a constant battle. You also have to keep on paddling to ensure you make it on time to your pick up location. Would not spend the $80 dollars to go kayaking again. There are so many other amazing springs around the area to kayak or paddle board at. The camping was really nice and the swimming hole as well.

Bathroom is new but is lacking maintenance. The bathrooms were not being cleaned for 3 days while we were there, and there was no toilet paper at day 2 while we were camping.
