What Guests Are Saying
Juniper Springs Rec Area offers a clean, family-friendly environment with accommodating staff, making it a favorite camping spot for many visitors. The beautiful springs and well-maintained campsites enhance the overall experience, although some facilities show signs of disrepair, and issues with ticks and noise can arise. While kayaking can be challenging due to obstacles, the scenic beauty and wildlife provide a relaxing retreat for nature lovers.

The campground is very strict about rules due to bears but it is a very nice layout and the springs are very pretty. There is no power or water at the sites but water is spread out around the campground. My family really enjoyed the campground overall.

The campsite was great. Close enough to the restrooms but not on top of it. Site was well managed. Close to part of the Florida Trail. The spring was busy but still nice. The kayak/canoe launch wasn't open during my visit. I've been told they will resume in mid May 2022.
Expect ticks in the spring. They were everywhere, but it is the woods, what would you expect?

Minus 2 stars due to our campsites were so close to the other ones, that no one had any privacy. There were no bushes or any barrier in between our campsites. Also, the board walks were still closed. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves.
