Considering the lock broke, and there was no access to exit once you were on the west side, this joke of a facility demanded I pay $30 per day for there slip until the lock reopened. Talked to the main ranger he said because of the situation we will work with you and dont expect you to pay Considering the situation. Talked to locknmaster at 8am following day he said it will be shut down all day call back around 12pm for a update moving forward. In between the time gap different ranger called and said lock is open get your boat out within 45mins or you are being charged, had a attitude and didn't care about the situation. Overall unprofessional experience.

St Lucie South is a very clean and well maintained camp ground. We were on a concrete pad that did require us to lift one side by 1.5 inches to become level side to side. The sites along the canal give an epic view of the canal and boats passing by. The city of Stuart is nearby with a lot of great dining available especially along the water front. We will definitely return.

Love watching the boats. The new expansion looks awesome. Close to towns where you can find lots to do. Excellent place!!

This campground is one of our favorite places to go. It is very clean & a peaceful experience every time we go. The staff is wonderful & friendly!
The camp spots are spaced out nice and not on top of each other. It is a small campground which is a perfect quiet get away, (right on the St. Lucie Canal) it is enjoyable watching the boats go up & down the canal & into the locks. Then every night around 7pm we watched a big alligator swimming down the canal minding his own business just like clock work.

Location is lovely, right off I95 and easy to access. the place is clean and beautiful. People are very helpful and pleasant.
