Buck Lake Group Campground offers a quiet and peaceful camping experience with beautiful views and ample space for privacy. Reviewers highlight the remote location and nearby springs as major attractions, contributing to enjoyable family vacations. However, some concerns were raised about the presence of ticks.
Everything was great! The location is very clean. Plan on having your fire in the only ring, at the main gathering area. All the picnic tables are there too. The trail around the lake is a nice easy walk!

All the trash cans were totally full. Bathrooms were not cleaned. Had to have some guy kicked out by forestry when we got there. Tried to say he rented the place and was camping. Why I had to wait until 3pm to enter Bucklake is beyond me. I've rented Bucklake several times. Don't think I will again.

The campsite had been cleaned more so than in past years I don't know if it was a previous campers picking up after themselves or the forestry service picking up trash but it was good. There are always going to be cigarette butts which is unfortunate but there was plenty of toilet paper in the restrooms and the garbage bags were empty when we got there

From I-75 in Ocala, Florida, travel east on State Route 40. Turn onto State Route 19 south, then turn right onto Forest Road 595-2 and travel for approximately 4 mi. Buck Lake Group Camp will be on the left.
