Lots of sites on the Lake. Sites are good sized and have woods/shrubs between. Good walking and mountain bike trails. Roads ok to bike on. Free washer and dryer!! Wifi and cell spotty. Rained most of the time we were there, but would go back.

Very nice campground near Evans/Augusta, GA. We camped in site 52 with a 27’ travel trailer in a site with a 50 Amp hook up and water. Access to the campground is via good, paved roads. Cell phone coverage was ok with Verizon – 16 mb download/3.5mb upload. 16 channels of OTA TV with ABC as the only prime. Our site (#52) was a fine gravel, very level, huge, private, and right on the lake with easy access for our 27-foot trailer. One note on this site is that it can get breezy here on the point, others are more protected – good in the summer, not so much in the winter. The other sites varied in size, but generally large with privacy (some have steep entry and exit, so choose carefully). There was 1 restroom nearby (uphill hike) shared with other loops) and 3 others serving the campground. There were no doors on the showers (plastic curtains only), so leave your valuables at the RV. Free laundry facilities, but only 1 washer and dryer for the entire campground. These were older facilities that could stand to be updated, but they were clean and had good hot water. There are 2 dump stations with reasonable access. The one closest to the ranger station has a tight turn to exit, but the 2nd one is good. This campground served as our base for exploring the area. The scenery here at the park was great – right on the lake with terrific sunsets. There is occasional noise from boats during the weekend but very quiet at night. We didn’t see much of the campground hosts, but the restrooms were clean. 50% discount with Federal Golden Age Pass.

The campgrour was not very active this time of year which made for avery peaceful stay. Augusta, Ga. is not far away and we explored some local activities. It's a beautful area to enjoy being outdoors. The bathrooms were very clean but could use some attention.

Beautiful area with spectacular views of the lake. The camp sites are all well laid out and spaced. Facilities are clean. Very easy to get around the campground. They do not sell firewood, so bring your own per their regulations. Or else they allow you to "harvest" fallen wood.

The campground is accessible via GA-221 approximately 6 miles to the east, which connects to US-278 about 10 miles away. I-20 is located roughly 20 miles to the south, providing further regional access.

General
- Gates open at 7:00am and close at 10:00pm. Combination lock codes will be issued to registered campers at check-in. If you need to leave due to an emergency and have trouble opening the gate, please notify the on-duty camp host.Gates open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Gate are locked during these hours but a gate combination is issued to campers. In case of an emergency dial 911.
- No more than 12 campers allowed per site, and 4 vehicles per site if space allows. If vehicles do not fit, vehicles must be parked at the overflow lot.
- One wheeled camping unit (RV, Camper, Camper van/truck, etc) per single site and must be parked on impact pad. Tents are restricted to impact pad.
- Scooters, UTVs, and ATVs are prohibited; however, golf carts are allowed per campground rules. See Park Attendant at the campground gatehouse for more information.
- Maximum stay is 14-days within 30 day period. Changing names on a reservation, changing campsites, or making multiple reservations in order to stay over 14-days is prohibited and applicable across USACE campgrounds. Violaters may have reservations cancelled.
- Alcohol, fireworks, and firearms is prohibited
- Keep your campsite and campground clean. Keep your trash contained and frequently remove trash from campsite (dumpsters located within campground). Do not leave litter in fire ring or on campsite upon check out.
- Gray water (any wastewater from sinks, dishwashing, bathing, etc) or other waste water such as black water must be disposed of properly at campground dump station.
- All pets must be penned, caged, or on a leash no longer than 6 feet; pets are prohibited on swim beaches, playgrounds, and in restrooms. You MUST clean up after your pet!
- All shorelines adjacent to campsites are public property.
- There are alligators in the fishing pond at this campground. Please do not feed or interact with the alligators if you see them.

- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
