The Army Corp of Engineers, again, did an excellent job. Large lake without a lot of high speed boats, pull in camping, close to showers, nice staff, and plenty of privacy between sites.

Not a typical COE camping experience. This campground recently reopened after having been closed for renovation from storm damage. It needed more work completed on sites and roadways to bring it up to standards of other COE campgrounds. Utilities worked fine but aesthetics were not as expected.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful campground. I was a little confused as to why it was so empty in the middle of June, but a conversation with one of the camp hosts, Monica, let me know that this park had been hit hard by Hurricane Helene and had only been reopened for 3 weeks, so I guess I was lucky to be there before everyone found out! The sites are well-spaced and mine was meticulously clean. I even had the privilege of having a brand new charcoal grill since some had been destroyed by the storm. As you walked around, there was evidence of the massive amount of work that went into clearing and restoration of the grounds. I would definitely stay here again and it would be lovely to have the same site.

Happy the campground is back open and appreciate all the hard work everyone put into repairing the campground after the hurricane. This is still one of my favorites. It was heartbreaking to see the impact of the hurricane, mostly that all the trees are gone. Signage was still missing except for one loop so maneuvering around was a little tricky but we quickly figured it out.

Nice park, even with post-hurricane damage.
Clean, safe and very peaceful. Very nice and clean bathrooms.
Ants ever present but that's part of the experience.
We lost a power for a little bit during the thunderstorm, but it did not last long.

Nice, quiet place that has nice sized camp sites and good views of the water. We stayed on site #7, which was clean and level. While there, we saw Piliated Woodpeckers and a Blad Eagle which perched is one of the trees on our site.
