We like the picnic shelter. It is next to the parking lot making it a very convenient option for seniors and elderly people.
One recurring issue: The water basin has a drainage problem. This the 3rd year in a row we are seeing this problem. Water clogs and makes the area unusable. This needs to be fixed.
It’s a minor issue and didn’t dampen our enjoyment at all!
Overall, a very nice venue!

The shelters are not at all near the water area for wading or swimming. Before booking I saw that it was within a couple minutes walking of the water. Yeah, but not beach area at all which is a drive. We spent 15 seconds at the shelter that we paid $100 for because I thought our family could hang out there while the kids played in the water and watched them. Not even close.

the drain at the water spigot needs attention, it did not drain. Otherwise the shelter was in great condition, loved having the horseshoe area and walk-in to the lake.

We felt very safe during our stay thanks to the frequent ranger patrols. The water and electric hookups worked perfectly. We highly recommend this spot and look forward to returning!

We have rented this shelter before too. As always we encounter no issues. Will rent again without hesitation

Great place to go trout fish below the dam about 0.2 mi down from the dam is some of the best trout fishing I've ever seen in my life also there are some pretty big hybrids running up amd down the hooch take a big popper bobber and a large minnow jig about 18 inches apart and start throwing it and you will catch them even during the colder months when its cold go up to the lake with the same setup and look for the birds attacking the surface of the water that's where there hitting at its awesome if you got a fast boat and a good casting reel and rod you will have fun all day
