Our 2nd stay at sweetwater and surely won't be the last, it's such a beautiful campground and our campsite was one of our all time favorites. We recommend weekday camping as it was quiet, peaceful and just amazing.

We were on site #14 in May. Only 2 spacious sites next to one another. Mostly shady. Not a far walk to bathroom. Very hilly campground but didn’t mind as we are avid walkers. We didn’t do any lake activities but it seemed like a nice place for boating, swimming and fishing. Overall we had a peaceful stay but would’ve liked it if our site was mowed before we got there.

An immediate camper to us had 6 adults in the camper, 3 barking dogs, 3 vehicles, a boat, a ski-jet on their lot and did not respect the 10:00 pm quite time. The worse neighbor was the group that arrived after dark with screaming kids, fighting adults which kept up until 11:00+ when another camper asked them to quiet down, but the female of the group stayed on the phone until 2:00 am with an audible conversation. Understand the camp host isn't there to discipline campers, but with nothing but a Sheriff's officer to solve the problem we decided to put the park on our list to not camp again there.

Our first time at Sweetwater. We loved the woodsy feel and of course, the lake. Seemed to be very clean and well maintained.

WARNING, WARNING!! Worst Site EVER-I'm sorry, we love Sweetwater and stay there often. This site is ABSOLUTELY not for a TT over 20 feet long in my opinion. We have a 30 foot TT which is well within the length allowed per the description and we had an awful time pulling in AND out of this site. There is a BOULDER across the road which makes it impossible to maneuver into the site!!!!! Love Sweetwater, hated this site!!!

Loved our site #2! So nice and woody. There are a variety of types of sites throughout the park. Some are wide open some are right on the water others are wooded. My only complaint about the park is so many sites and so few showers. There are only two bath houses and each one only has two showers for over 150 sites.
Must visit Big Door Vineyard!
