As campers have gotten more sophisticated and requires for battery power the campground needs electric. Not all you hear is generators running. You wake up, generators are running, you go outside for a nice sit down, generators are running, at night you don’t even hear the river, generators are running. There is powder to tallaugh for the camp host. You should be able to run electric to most of the sites. As for rangers forget it. You don’t see them. Ever ! The camp host wasn’t even there no one. And the reservation system ruined the camping in Georgia as far as we are concerned . Too many people reserve and don’t show up .

The reservation process was simple and straightforward. The trip was everything we expected and more. We caught lots of fish and met new friends.

This is a decent campground, however there are many locals that will come on and take your site if you leave for some reason. In my case i had to leave due to inclement weather. I returned the next morning after only leaving the previous evening to find some local group already in my site. I lost a day I paid for due to this.

Beautiful, quiet location. Lost cell service about 5 mi from the campground (T-Mobile). The lady staying next to us showed up to see her reserved spot occupied and I’ve read a few similar reviews, so understand that this might happen to you. We were there off peak, so no campground host to resolve the situation. Luckily, there were numerous open spots available for her. We were at spot 3, which was nice other than a very steep drop to the river. There are bear proof trash cans and 2 pit-type toilets that were well maintained. Water spigots available as well. Highly recommend this location!
