We were mainly there to visit with relatives in the area as we made our way north. We always get a kick out of how 'engineers ' design campgrounds vs 'Foresters'. At Bald ridge they managed to give everyone a wide of the lake. In our case it made it a curved driveway to back into, but it was worth it. The dump station was well designed, as was the boat ramp. One of the two driers in the campground was out of order.

We stayed at site 69. The campground, and bath house, was clean and well maintained. The hosts were friendly and very efficient. Beautiful area. Definitely going back.

Been coming here 10 years and have never been treated so rudely. This lady on the gate, obviously a newbie, really needs to get with the program. Everyone knows that chech-in is at 3. But reality says that having a line of everyone to check in at 3 only frustrates campers and attendants. Each check-in and vehicle entering the park must stop at the window - no one can go into the gatehouse. If you are a guest and you are returning from sightseeing, you must sit in line with everyone else.
So I tried to check in about 2 on a Sunday afternoon. She quoted the 3 o'clock rule and had me turn my motorhome (with tow) around and leave the park. For the last mile or so leading into the park, there is no where to park an RV. However, the spot I managed to slip into had a clear view of the entrance road. While I was sitting there, 7 RVs passed by heading to the park. When I got in line to check in at 3, all of those RVs had already been checked in!
Never in 15 years of RVing all over this country have I been forced to leave a park and wait for check-in time. And the rotten attitude was close to an all-time worst.
Lady, if you're not happy, please for the sake of RVers and your peace of mind, find a place that you can be happy.

It was a windy weekend but it was a beautiful campsite. I plan to come again soon. Bathrooms could use a refresh.

Staff was very nice and extremely helpful. The restrooms were clean and well attended. The campsite was beautiful and we were pleasantly surprised by a very sweet flowering bush that attracted a hummingbird.
