We are normally impressed with the sites offered through the Corps of Engineers sites... large, shaded and inviting. Not so much with Bald Ridge... We thought we were at the wrong spot. Small and barren and the words that come to mind. We’ll be sure to research better before heading out on the road. We left a day early... no reason to stay.

Our first trip here-very impressed with the staff and campground. We checked out on Monday.
A downside is the park only has 1 dump station at the beginning of a loop. On Sunday the line waiting for the dump station was extremely long. Friends of ours waited about 1hr 20 min!
Checkout is at 1:00 and the last rv in line finished dumping around 2:00 or so. The road to the dump station is 1 lane and one way, and people camping along that stretch could not leave their site if needed.

Every site is large. There are several sites that are ideal in my opinion especially if you have a kayak or want to fish from your site. I'm not sharing because I really don't want those sites to get too popular. I know, that's being selfish. Sorry

Our favorite campground. All sites are good, some just a little better.
