Beautiful location. We have stayed multiple times and love this campground. Sites are spacious and clean. Being right on the lake with a private beach is just one of the perks!

We had Site 56 for a weekend and Site 9 for a weekend. We brought our boat and a 30' Travel Trailer both weekends. Site 56 had an excellent spot for the boat and was secluded but the view was not 5 stars...maybe 4. It was very shady and comfortable. Site 9 the next weekend was really the opposite experience. It is a wide open site with little forest and just a few trees for shade. The view from the site is fantastic in several directions...lake for miles. You feel a little close to your neighbors at 9 though. The boat spot at 9 was fair. The boat was anchored just off the bank in about 18" of water. We have a small flats skiff, if you have a larger boat you would probably have to swim out because the shallow approach to shore wouldn't let you get close enough. Both sites were great in different ways but I would say 56 was a little better for us. The camp ground was clean and beautiful, the bathrooms were clean although I only went in once while out walking.

This is a beautiful COE park that is well maintained that offers lots of sunshine as well as the shade of beautiful mature trees along a beautiful lake setting. Many shady sites with limited view of the lake along with sites that have full water views make you forget you are in a suburban area. Many of the sites can accommodate larger RVs. W/E with 50 amp. Dump station and three bath houses with showers are located throughout. There are washer and dryers at two of the bath houses with supplies to be purchased in case you didn't bring any. Firewood and ice can be purchased. Close to shopping and restaurants. Atlanta is to the South and the mountains to the North for day trips. The lake is known for all water sports and fishing with a boat ramp and parking for your boat if you should bring one. There is a nice beach area and is a small playground for kids. Keep in mind that the gate is locked at night so no coming in or leaving between 7am and 10:30pm. We have been coming to this campground for 15 years and will return as it never disappoints. If we had one complaint, it would be we wished they opened back up earlier in the spring and stayed open until after Thanksgiving or better yet, year round. We camped here with a 40ft fifth wheel.
