Great park, on of the best we have used for over 20 years. If they could fix the reservation system as well as they run the park things would be perfect. Hard to understand a half filled park when all the spots are supposed to be reserved.

Our first time at the campground and we really liked it. It is very well maintained and situated on a beautiful part of Lake Lanier.
I love that some of the campsites provide privacy and others are better suited for groups. It just depends on your preference. We will definitely be back. Thanks to the Corps of Engineers for providing such a beautiful campground.

There is only one dump station and that can get crowded on Sundays as people are leaving, expect up to a 45 min. wait. as you approach the 1 PM deadline to leave.
The gravel pads have fine gravel mixed with mud and sand, and in the rain makes an interesting slush that gets into everything when you track it into your rig or tent. It also puddles up quite a bit depending on the site. We had about 3" of water near the entry door - kinda inconvenient.
This is a well run facility and is one of the finest pieces of real estate right on the waters of Lake Lanier. Most sites will give you a view of the water if no right on the waters edge.
Gates close at 10:30 and open 7 AM - plan around that.

Great park, bathrooms were clean, clean beaches. Close enough to Stone Mountain, Georgia Aquarium, and MLK Historic Park and site.

Check in and access to the park during high check in times is challenging. Since no one is allowed to enter the office, everyone has to wait in line to check in at the window. There is no other lane for campers who are already registered to bypass this line, so the wait could be half an hour or longer to enter the park. We checked in on a Sunday afternoon and waited 20+ minutes to get our passes so we could drop off a vehicle and then go home to pick up our motor home. When I got to the window, I had to listen to a long rant from the attendant about people checking in early or leaving late. We had been told earlier in the day that our site was open and we could come in at any time. But we were not even planning to access the site until well after check in time anyway.
After so many mix ups last year, some due to COVID, but some due to just poor management (cancelling a reservation in early March (pre-COVID by the way) that was not until Labor Day (Aug.-Sept.) stating the reason was due to flooding, then to get there a week prior to Labor Day and our original reserved site was booked to someone else is just one example), I'm really not in the mood to take abuse from attendants this year.
I will say it was nice to see the attendants drive through the park early in the morning and later in the evenings and also to see the Sheriff's department drive through often to discourage misbehavior by other campers.

This was our first time camping at Bald Ridge Creek. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the campground and each campsite is positioned for easy accessibility for the RV camper. The campground was full and we were amazed at how quiet it was. Bald Ridge offers a roped off swimming area in the lake. Also provided were swings and play areas for the children. Bald Ridge also offers full hook up for electric and water along with a convenient dump site. Looking forward to camping there again.

Rangers don’t seem to come around much. There was a lot of rule breakers that gate attendent could nit get to comply. These rule breakers weren’t suffering any consequences. Saw kids riding bicycles off the boat dock. There were a lot of people who also don’t read the no fishing off the boat dock. They were always In The way of boaters trying to get in and out of water
