Another camping 🏕 trip down.
Wanted to share our experience and hike.
We camped as Desoto Falls. We stayed in Campsite 23. The campsite alone was wonderful. The creek flow from the waterfall is right there. We also had campsite 22 with family there as well. Plenty of room if you are setting up more than one tent ⛺️ like we did.
Okay here comes the sad part..... you can hear ever person speeding/ racing through on Blood mtn. That was not great.
There is vaulted 🚽 in the bathrooms near the campsite. There is 🚿 showers and normal 🚽near the entrance. Is not a bad walk.
The road is paved. Some of the sites I did notice was hard to get into on the upper part.
Wood 🪵 is at sunrise grocery if you need. Im not sure if you are looking from the lumpkin co side of blood mtn.
There is no service. Which was not a big deal. Just giving a heads up incase you maybe expecting it.

Cindy is an incredible ambassador to the campground and ensured we had our site ready when some folks had mistakenly stayed late. Top notch campground.

Love the area and in the past had a good experience. However whe. We arrived we had to go back to town and buy a shovel cause the fire pit was almost over the top with ashes. All sites around us was the same. The reservation card that was on the campsite was from almost a week before. Never once seen the host in 4 days of a major holiday.
