This was our first visit to Doll Mountain Campground on Site 24. My first issue was the site levelness. It was the worse I've experienced. We have a Beech Lanel Bluetooth Leveling System, and it is great to use and accurate. Levelness is important to anyone like us the has an Ammonia type refrigerator. Unless they are level they will not get cold enough and if allowed to operate for even just 20 minutes not level can permanently ruin the cooling unit. When we arrived at site 24 the Be ech Lane showed passenger side was 6-1/2" low. My Andersen Leveling Blocks can provide up to 4" lift so had to add 2x8 wood block too. Unfortunately, the blocks would constantly slip in the gravel. Took about an hour and half to finally get level by resulting to digging out the driver side a few inches so I could use just the Andersen blocks on passenger side. I've never experienced a site anywhere this crooked side to side.
Our second surprise was bug bites that increased each day. At first, we couldn't understand what was biting us because we never saw the bugs but boy did, they itch and turn red. After research we found we were bitten by Chiggers. Our son visited us one afternoon and he ended up with ten bites. Each day of our 6 day visit we got more bites so we headed home a day early.
Many sites are spaced far apart but hardly any access to the lake except the boat ramp. Because of the poorly leveled site and Chigger bites, doubt we will return here. If you do stay on site 24, I suggest you dig out a few inches of gravel on the driver side so you can reduce the lift need on passenger side. Hopefully the park will spray or something to rid the Chigger bugs.

We have camped there for about 4 years and it has been very enjoyable. Like the new bathhouse is very nice, and I would love for the other bathhouse to be upgraded. But my biggest concern is the rochbugs. They were at at least two campsites. Two actually got into my camper. I do NOT want to bring them home.

It is not a bad site but it rained twice and flooded both times. It had no run off . Had to dig a trench in two places for it to drain. It is ok if no rain is called for. Don't think we will choose doll mountain. It doesn't provide what we prefer in a Campground. But probably would be great for others. There is no swimming area so if you are a boat person it would be perfect for you.

Always enjoy staying at Doll Mountain! Very peaceful and quiet. We live less than 10 minutes from there but feel like we are hours away ❤️.

We loved our experience at site 31. We even re-booked for a couple of weeks from now. Easter, electricity, a great view, an expansive site, well maintained. We drove around and looked at all the sites, and this was one of our top favorites. We lucked out!

The sites were so nice but the showers were pathetic! At least it was hot water.

Really don't want to tell anyone about our favorite campground. we have been coming here for close to 30 years. love it. we almost have a boat with us and can find a spot close to our site for it. or with the boat ramp we can trailer it each evening if that works better.

Other than the rain, the camp ground was amazing. Beautiful views, lots of trees and shade, sites far apart. In a word, ideal.

Although we had a good bit of rain it was still an enjoyable trip. There was good drainage. We had a concrete pad and a wooden deck so mud was not a problem.
I enjoy listening to the rain and reading. Also Our camp hosts were friendly and helpful.
