Very friendly man at the gate. Site was clean and well-kept. The bathroom had no soap for a day. I told the gate person, and there was soap the next day.

The lady at check-in was beyond hospitable. Our reserved campsite was flooded and she allowed us to pick another site. The lake is lovely, however it was spooky to learn of the long-gone Black communities that lived where Lake Lanier used to be. The racial history of this country is truly terrifying. Perhaps you have interpretation of this in the park (we only stayed 1 night) as it should surely be recognized.
