Beautiful park/lake. Our second visit. Would be nice if there were sewer hookups at campsites, but otherwise very good visit.

I have camped at Lake Lanier since the early 1960s. This is by far the best campground run by the COE on the lake. The grounds were well groomed, sites clean and level. The restrooms were spotless. Great Friendly staff. The only negative is that the campground is not open all year.

We have camped at this park for many years. It has been a practice to call the morning we are to arrive to see if anyone is on the campsite. We tried for several hours to reach the campsite host but to no avail - there was always a busy signal. When we arrived to Bolding Mill Park, we questioned the host about this. He said their phone had been out of order since March. They had reported this to the Corp of Engineers but to no avail. I find this totally unacceptable that five months after reporting a phone outage that it hasn't been repaired. Also, the grass in the park needed to be cut. Someone would show up, cut a little each day then leave. Not sure why they couldn't cut the entire park while they were there? Overall, it seems the Corp of Engineers don't maintain the park as they once did. The host were very kind and helpful.
