Our trip was good as usual. The only complaint is that the lady attendant staff would not provide the parking pass for our 3rd vehicle. She stated that they were all checked to insure they were right. The tag that went with the vehicle with trailer didnβt have βTLβ on it. She said someone must not have turned it in. We only had 2 trucks on our site and she refused to go and look to confirm and give us the extra pass we were suppose to have.
Since I believe the passes are reused by all guests booked for each site it could be possible that someone camping before us didnβt turn in their pass.
I believe this problem could have been resolved had the lady understood that the vehicle that goes with trailer shouldnβt have had βTLβ on it along with site number.

We loved camping at Oconee Point! Our campsite #24 was well tended, shady, and had two good fishing spots. We were able to launch our kayaks from the bank but it had rocks that were enclosed in a metal fencing material which made it a bit harder. There are other sites that have a sandy beach. The bathhouse near our site had toilets and sinks only. The other two bathhouses at the campground had showers as well. We definitely plan on returning.

I hate to let the cat out of the bag but this is the best campground in the upstate if you love lake Hartwell. Every site is water front and clean. Staff is always friendly and bathhouses are clean.

Bad weather delayed our arrival;Arrived following morning of reservation, gate keeper seemed confused by this but said she would check us in; later that day we had visitors, gate keeper told visitors we were not on site, I had to go to gate to prove we were on site to allow visitors in this was somewhat annoying but our stay was pleasant

Oconee Point Campground is one of our favorites. The sites are very spacious and level. Most sites have a good water access to launch a kayak or canoe.
