The site is pretty level (good enough for my tent) and there's plenty of room on the pad area, as well as off to the side. Water access is pretty good, there's a small drop-off but there are rocks you can use to walk down. It's fairly private, there's a decent amount of space between you and the neighbors. And there's a bathroom close by (toilets only, but a full bath house is a short walk from there). Be aware, I did encounter some ants and there was a skunk that thankfully just passed by my living area. Overall, it's a nice campground. I'll definitely go back.

This is our benchmark for campgrounds. The sites are well spaced and most offer reasonable shade, water access, and are mostly level. Over the air TV is good as is phone reception. Bathhouses are rather dated but well maintained. Dollar General just a few miles away, major shopping a bit further.

Oconee Point is a spacious campground with basically every site on the water. Most of the bath houses are up to date with a couple of exceptions. The staff was great and helpful and this is our favorite COE campground in upstate South Carolina. If there is a negative, it isnβt about the specific park, but it is that the rates continue to go up every year without any upgrades to the facilities. Things go up, I understand, but I would like to see upgrades made to make it an even better experience.

Always enjoy our stays at Oconee Point.
The only negative is the condition of the roads in some places.

The reservation process was easy. Check-in was awesome. The Park Attendant asked if I had a Park access card and I do have a federal lifetime pass because of my veteran status and he immediately refunded me 50% of my fee. Reminded me to always use that card when booking. Every site here is on the water, I used the bath house and it was very clean. and the restrooms were well cleaned and stocked. It is a very peaceful place to stay. We plan to return next May.
