Nice campground, wish they didn't cut so many trees down. Water is nice, but the red clay can be a pain/stain.

We arrived on Thursday and had a hard time setting up because of all the yellow jackets. (We did go then to the gate and ask if they could do anything because we found one nest-they said they would but never did) We finally got set up and went down to my son's site three sites away while they set up. Yellow jackets weren't as bad there but they were there. The double site beside them the people were fogging their site and said they were told by friends the yellow jackets were bad. We had to eat supper at my sons and then went to our site only to go in camper for the night. The next morning we woke up to fix breakfast and wasn't able to because of the yellow jackets. We went and had breakfast with my cousin on another site near the boat ramp and things were great there. (We went back to the gate and the lady apologized and said someone would come and check-we never saw anyone-about lunch time we asked if they there was anything they could do and they said we could go to a hold site-site 2). By this time I was over the weekend and was not going to load up and then move to another site and set back up after all we had been through. We loaded up and went home. The lady at the gate said she would put in for a refund and we haven't saw one yet. I love the campground but will cancel up coming trips there and will definitely reconsider before making reservations there again.

Was not pleased at all with the condition of the site (site 11). We arrived at 6 pm or after, so plenty of time for site to be cleaned. The grill had been cooked on without foil, nasty mess. The firepit was left a mess.

We love staying at Springfield. The sites are a very good size on the sites where we stay. It’s a clean park. We do think the gate hours should be 6:00 in the morning and 11:00 at night. This would better accommodate people who need to leave early for work and arrive back in after going out in the evening.

We love staying at Springfield. The sites are a very good size on the sites where we stay. It’s a clean park. We do think the gate hours should be 6:00 in the morning and 11:00 at night. This would better accommodate people who need to leave early for work and arrive back in after going out in the evening.

- The entrance gate opens and locks, and no vehicles can enter or exit during restricted hours. Check-in is required before the gate locks.
- The entrance gate opens at 7 a.m. and locks at 10 p.m.
- Vehicles cannot enter or exit the property between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- Check-in is required before 10 p.m.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Site types & loops
- Only one wheeled camping unit is allowed per site, and it must be parked on the impact pad. Tents must also be on the impact pad.
General
- One wheeled camping unit (RV, Camper, Camper van/truck, etc) per single site and must be parked on impact pad.
- Tents are restricted to impact pad.
- Off-road vehicles including golf carts, 4-wheelers, motorized or electric scooters/ride on devices are not permitted.
- Maximum stay is 14-days within 30 day period.
- Changing names on a reservation, changing campsites, or making multiple reservations in order to stay over 14-days is PROHIBITED!
- VIOLATORS MAY HAVE RESERVATIONS CANCELLED WITHOUT NOTICE.
- Please do the right thing.
- All pets must be penned, caged or on a leash no longer than 6 feet; pets are prohibited on swim beaches, playgrounds, and in restrooms.
- You MUST clean up after your pet!
- Maximum of 10 campers per single site.
- Registered campers are required to occupy campsite and must be 18 years of age or older.
- Gray water (any wastewater from sinks, dishwashing, bathing, etc) or other waste water must be disposed of properly at campground dump station.
- For campfires, use only dead wood gathered from the ground and contain fire in designated fire rings or grills only.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site.

- Keep your campsite and campground clean.
- Keep your trash contained and frequently remove trash from campsite (dumpsters located within campground).
- Do not leave litter in fire ring or on campsite upon check out.

Safety & rules
- The maximum stay is 14 days within a 30-day period, and changing reservation details to extend this stay is prohibited. Violators may have reservations canceled without notice.
- Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the property.
- Campsites must be kept clean, with trash contained and disposed of properly. Littering is prohibited.
- Inflatables and carnival-type rides or events are not allowed on the property.
Pets
- Pets must be contained, on a leash no longer than 6 feet, and are not allowed in specific areas. Guests must clean up after their pets.
Site capacity
- Each site can accommodate a maximum of 10 campers, all of whom must be 18 years or older and occupy the campsite.
Fires & fuel
- Campfires must use dead wood from the ground and be contained in designated areas. Moving firewood is prohibited to prevent pests.
