What Guests Are Saying
Springfield Campground offers stunning 270-degree views of Hartwell Lake and well-maintained facilities, making it a favorite for many campers. The clean restrooms and friendly staff enhance the overall experience, although some sites lack shade and certain amenities, like a door on the men's comfort station. While there have been issues with ants in some areas, the campground remains a popular choice for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery, attracting repeat visitors.

We are tent campers and though our site (#17) was nice, there was very little shade. Most sites here offer little to no shade and no privacy. In warm months this would be a deal breaker. The bathhouse near us was average but others were very run down. The campground was pretty quiet and the sunsets were amazing. For RVs this would be a great spot.

Great sites, level and spaced out. Two dump stations to help expedite departure. Bathrooms were clean, but they are getting some age on them. My biggest complaint is the fact that no one enforces the leash rule. I’ve been there three times this year and two of them I’ve encountered multiple dogs off leash. I don’t care how friendly someone thinks their dog is, it needs to be on a leash period!!

Campsite 52 was spacious with a lovely lake view. It is not close to the bath house for a tent camper. The staff was professional and friendly. Only one bar of AT&T service. Close to West Anderson for groceries, gas and restaurants. Note there is no soap in the bath houses. Worth a repeat visit!

What a beautiful campground! The gate attendant was friendly and helpful and we had a great experience there. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

Springfield is a great campground. Many spots to choose from right on the water. I love that there's no light pollution and night and it was far enough away from main roads to be quiet.
