We were directly across from a causeway that had roaring thunder hogs & huge diesel trucks all hours of the day & night speeding passed with annoying noise amplified by the water. Plus someone clogged the toilet in the ladies bathroom, it overflowed & the next day no one had fixed it or cleaned up

Nearly every site here is on the lake, sites were pretty nice. Restrooms were dated but cleaner than most. Camp host was friendly and helpful. There is some road noise, but you also have a grocery and Walmart about 3 miles away.

The waterfront Site #16 provided a nice view of the lake but the site itself was a bit challenging for a 35' motorhome. The entrance requires a sharp left turn between trees on a narrow road. The slope of the site presents a challenge to get a rig level but we managed to move the coach as close to the lake as possible away from the sloping hillside and succeeded with blocks under the jacks to get leveled out. The town of Hartwell provided a close source for supplies. Verizon service is acceptable and our hotspot worked well. The staff was especially nice.

We love this campground. The bathrooms need a little work but overall a great campground. Would be better if the whole campground was open all year.
