This seems to be a reoccurring issue among corp of engineer parks, which is why so many are closing. Some of the camp hosts are amazing while some are grumpy and dislike anyone with children. There was a very clear double standard while we stayed over the Halloween holiday and I would recommend anyone with children to go to a state park, they are more welcoming. The last two days that we were there the Host was amazing, the other... not so much.

Excellent campground! Sites are well laid out. Restrooms are clean. Host was courteous and helpful. Lake is beautiful. We walked from the campground all the way to Hartwell Dam.(maybe 2 miles one way)

Was told my golf cart was approved to use. When I got there, I was told the cart could only be used to visit the restrooms. As I was in a self contanied RV that was not needed. Should have been told in advance. Paid for 4 days, but left the campground on 2nd day. Never took the cart off the trailer...Very upset as I have stayed in other ACOE campgrounds with no problems whatsoever. Needless to say, I will never return to this place.

My husband and I had a fabulous time camping at Watsadler. I love the privacy that each site provides. Watsadler is our favorite place for a get away that is not too far from home.

Nice pull in spot, handicap accessable, close to bath house, nice view, attendants are kind and helpful, I had an electric issue that turned out to be minor on my part, but attendant called out repair person to check the parks equipment to be sure it was not something on their end.
