We just stayed there two nights. We were very thankful for the nice clean bathroom with the showers. Everybody was very helpful and accommodating. Everything was clean and the guests were also very friendly. A good place to go visit is Long creek falls. Just a tip to let you know that in order to get there do you have to drive on a long rough gravel road for about 10 miles off of the main road. We did it in a minivan but we took our time. It was well worth the trip. The road is easier coming in to the falls from the west. When we left the Falls we ended up going to the east and the road was a lot worse but you have to go slow. We didn’t spend a lot of time at Morganton point but it is a very pretty lake and since it was summer we were glad that we had air-conditioning hooked up to shore power. We stayed at lot 18 right beside the restroom and showers. We will probably go there again someday. One of the employees there even brought me firewood after I paid him and the price was very reasonable. I think I paid five dollars for the bundle of firewood.

We went camping here in a camper with 2 toddlers. The campground had a very nice atmosphere, with lots of trees and easy beach access. (And virtually no mosquitoes or ticks!) The bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean. We took our kayaks and had plenty of beautiful coves to explore with little motor boat activity. It's a short drive to many wineries, mini golfing, or even Tennessee. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We will probably visit again sometime.

Take U.S. Highway 515 north from Blue Ridge for 4 miles to Georgia Highway 60. Turn right (southwest) and continue 3 miles to the town of Morganton. In Morganton, turn right on County Road 616 (Lake Drive) and proceed for 1 mile. To enter the campground, take the first left after the Morganton Point entrance sign.
Morganton Point is accessible via U.S. Highway 515, which connects to Georgia Highway 60 in Morganton. The campground is approximately 4 miles from U.S. Highway 515.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
