We love this campground! It is so beautiful and very clean!! The showers have hot water. Bathrooms are cleaned daily. The campground sells firewood and ice if you're in a bind and even deliver it to your site. There is also a convenience store, Coon's Country store, that sells breakfast, coffee, firewood and other things you may need. The cheapest place to get firewood is the Corner Market on Lakewood Hwy (you pass it on your way to the campground from the highway). The campground is about 15 min from Blue Ridge and 30 minutes from the Swinging Bridge hike.
Site 11 was perfect!!! It is a walk-in site so I recommend bringing a wagon if you have one. It is a large, fully private site. We fit 2 tents and a canopy tent over our picnic table. The site is on its own little peninsula surrounded by the lake and views of the mountains. The view was breathtaking. We did not see or hear anyone from our site. The firepit was in a good location. You could fit chairs all of the way around the pit which was nice for when the wind changed the direction of the smoke. There is not electricity or water at this site but the campground has it, so we didn't have any issues. Campground staff was friendly and helpful the few times we saw them.

Morganton Point campground is a peaceful setting amid trees and boasts several campgrounds with lake views in a 'get-away from the hustle and bustle' type of location. Our site was spacious with a steep access drive and was visible from several other campsites. While it appears that some recent gravel work was added to several sites, the roads through through the grounds need potholes repaired. In the week that I stayed, I had very little interaction with the camp host, but did rouse someone at the somewhat dilapidated host trailer when the main bath, a spacious facility, completely ran out of toilet paper. While Morganton, itself, isn't much of a tourist destination, we found some touristy experiences around the towns of Blue Ridge and Ellijay. The lake looked like a great destination for kayaks or fishing. In all, the campground met my expectations for a scenic location.

Don't go. This place has nothing to offer. The host, FIND, is an absolute incompetent mess. There were dogs running loose in the campground, pit bull dogs to be particular. We feared for the safety of our children in multiple ways for multiple legitimate reasons. We will NEVER stay at a campground hosted by FIND again!

Take U.S. Highway 515 north from Blue Ridge for 4 miles to Georgia Highway 60. Turn right (southwest) and continue 3 miles to the town of Morganton. In Morganton, turn right on County Road 616 (Lake Drive) and proceed for 1 mile. To enter the campground, take the first left after the Morganton Point entrance sign.
Morganton Point is accessible via U.S. Highway 515, which connects to Georgia Highway 60 in Morganton. The campground is approximately 4 miles from U.S. Highway 515.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
