Excellent facility, space #11 is perfect for tent camping with a great view of the lake. Friendly staff and bathrooms/showers are clean and safe. Ice and firewood both onsite.

An awesome campground! The new restroom on the sites 1thru20 loop was spotless and has heat! This was a solo scouting trip with the pop-up but I'll return with my wife and 5th wheel in March and often afterwards as this COE doesn't shut down and has power.
There were several sites large and flat enough for my 35' 5er, notably #'s 1, 5, 6, 7, 18, 19 &20...others were large but have some leveling issues but not difficult. After site 20, there are 5 ro 6 suitable for my 20' popup but most are tent sites.
The beach is very nice and there are numerous hiking trails in the area like the Benton-MacKaye.

This was a beautiful place to stay. The sites were well maintained and the bathrooms were clean and warm with hot showers. The camp area itself was very quiet at night. My only complaint is that there is just the one bathroom so if your site is far it’s a little hike and there were dogs barking all through the night which may have been from the surrounding neighborhoods. You probably wouldn’t hear them in an RV but we were in a tent and needed to wear ear plugs. Still, I can’t wait to return and bring a kayak for the lake. The sunset over the lake was gorgeous.

Take U.S. Highway 515 north from Blue Ridge for 4 miles to Georgia Highway 60. Turn right (southwest) and continue 3 miles to the town of Morganton. In Morganton, turn right on County Road 616 (Lake Drive) and proceed for 1 mile. To enter the campground, take the first left after the Morganton Point entrance sign.
Morganton Point is accessible via U.S. Highway 515, which connects to Georgia Highway 60 in Morganton. The campground is approximately 4 miles from U.S. Highway 515.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
