We camped in a tent right on the lake; we loved it. Swimming in the lake was lovely (with water shoes) - we went with our 5 year old grandson, he was happy just to swim and play. Although we worried that the motorboats and jet skis might be too noisy/disruptive, they were not too close most of the time (mid-week, in July). The bathrooms were a bit of a hike but it was worth it for such a beautiful camping spot. Bathrooms were well-taken care of, as was the whole campground. Luckily area thunderstorms missed us and there was a little breeze from the lake and night time temps in the low 70s - tolerable for sleeping. There are great hikes nearby - and waterfalls!

Cell service was horrible, camp site wasnt level and hasn't been maintained. Camp sites are too close together for our tastes. Loud neighbors, and nothing done about it. We love Lake Blue Ridge and the campground is very close to town, Restaurants, and shopping!
