Great get away I love the fact that there is no phone service . I am on my phone with work all day long and it was so nice to get away from all the hustle and bustle . You can go to the top of the mountain and get service to check in if needed .

The campground was very clean. My specific campsite was small but I knew that when I reserved it. The area is absolutely gorgeous! Right along the river so you have access to it very easily.
I can't wait to come back again!

While the campsite itself was great, I didn’t realize that it was going to be so far off the beaten path. My GPS brought us in on Duncan Ridge Rd. 9.5 miles long and took us two hours in my truck due to the condition and primitive nature of the “road.” Figured it was a fluke and poor GPS routing. Once at the site we realized we needed a couple things and went north to Blairsville. Figured 13 miles would be a snap. Nope. That took 40 mins, of which 30 was rough dirt road. It’s totally my fault for not thinking about just how far off the beaten path the campground could be but I’d of appreciated a hint of info in the campgrounds description. It was beautiful! BUT! It’s more than we care to do again.

My site, 15, was a large flat well designed site. It was right against the creek. The tent pad was well maintained. The vault toilets were some of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Very well maintained, clean with plenty of paper products. There is zero connectivity, so if off the grid is what you’re looking for this is it. There is a store ~5 miles away that has free wi-fi. Only complaint is there was no camp host. There is a site labeled “Host” and a camper in the site but never saw any vehicles or people at the host site. So not sure what would have been the process if help was needed.

Campsite clean, restrooms clean. There was a hornet nest hanging from a tree at another nearby campsite. The hornets did not bug us, which was a relief. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely return.

We had a great camping trip. The lack of cell phone service was the only bad thing about the trip. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, we will definitely be back soon!

Place was slightly cleaner than the last time there. Still beer cans, worm containers and general trash on and in creek. And tons of monofilament wads left on bank.
Large Scout group was there (Hall county)and apparently did a ‘cleanup’ before leaving. Good on them!
