Great park , quiet , nice view , relaxing . Wish they had more comfort stations with showers ; but that’s just me . They have updated some of the showers that I’ve noticed . Very level site (#76) , overall a great holiday for a few days !

My trip to Shaefer Heard campground was a good trip.
I have a friend in Alabama that I visited while I was there. there are lots of restaurants to eat at if that's your pleasure. We always take side trips while there. The campground has so many good sites that are spacious making them quiet and more private than other campgrounds. We love this campground!!!

This is our favorite campground. The sites are mostly private and almost all of them are on the water. The restrooms are usually always clean and the grounds are well maintained. We stayed at site 97 this time. It has a perfect view of the sunset! The park was not crowded at all this weekend. If the park was at capacity, your neighbors would be pretty close. Also, this site does not have any shade, so I imagine in the summer it would be hot.
This campground would be perfect if it had sewer hook up and dog trash cans stationed throughout the park.

Very nice, clean, and quiet campground. Lots of space between spots on the site I was in and most others. Close and easy access to/from I-85, but far enough away to not have noise. Camped here for two nights on our way from NW FL to SC.
Took a little day trip to the "Little White House" in Warm Springs which was a nice one hour drive through the country and a neat little town. Callaway Gardens was along the route but we didn't stop there, maybe next time. Another place off my "bucket list" that I've passed by for decades while traveling I-85 and wanted to stop. Which was also the reason I chose this campground.
We will be back!
