This has become my favorite campground that is less than two hours away. Almost all of the sites are on the water and a lot of them are private. The campground hosts are always friendly and helpful. I did not give it five stars because the restrooms could use a little updating!

Another great stay at R Shaefer Heard. Camp host at check in was excellent. Our site was very nice. First trip out with our new RV ( stayed here in the past with our previous RV) . We enjoy weekday camping at this park. It’s a three hour drive from our home but is worth it.
