The staff at R Shaffer Heard was the friendliest staff I have ever met. They were just Great. There is one place on West Point I rather not go camping due to the rude staff. Amitiy is the worst of campgrounds on West Point. I do believe that whoever hires personal like that should be replaced then the staff.
Thank You for a Great experience at R. Shaffer Heard.

We stayed in the campground the entire visit, which were the plans. The campground overall was terrific, but the bathhouses needed updating. You could barely close the shower curtain, as there was so much rust on the rod.
The hosts were terrific!

Site 72 was great. Lots of shade and privacy. Grill was missing but you can grill on the fire pit below the deck. You have to walk just a little way to get into the water, but be careful there are rocks that you have to navigate to get into the water. Overall and excellent site.

The sites are private and clean. The only problem was at site 51 we needed an electrician to come out and fix the wiring and breakers as they were shot. The camp host was very helpful and responded right away. It melted the end of my power cord.

Wonderful campground, one of our favorites. Close to Pine Mountain which has adorable shops.

Our stay at site 64 was wonderful. We had a pull-through site with a great view of the lake. Stayed 4 days and enjoyed the daily walks around the park.

The campground is excellent and well maintained and cared for. The staff toured the campground often and were very friendly. My only complaint was the the shower needs a soap shelf, but that did not detract from my pleasant experience.
