We stayed on site 52 in October. There was so many walnuts crashing on us, our camper, and our truck that we left days earlier than planned. The campground is beautiful, but not worth the damage and sap covering everything.

This is a beautiful campground, only complaint is that we checked in and went to our site and it was still occupied by the person who had been there there night before. This was at 4:15 pm, after check in time and I understand their check out was 3. We returned to the check in station and they sent someone to knock on the trailer door, that person had “forgot” and of course his wife was at Walmart with the vehicle needed to move the trailer.
We volunteered to take his new spot he had been supposed to go to, so he didn’t need to move, and that worked out fine we fit in that space for one night.
It was the end of season and maybe the workers were just lax on clearing which sites were available to the incoming campers.

It’s was a warm day for the fall (79 degrees). We reserved site 51 which was near the water and parking lot.
There were a few ppl passing by and cars pulling boat to the water here and there. If you don’t mind a few ppl, it’s real nice space. Had a wonderful time. Will go again when the park re-opening for camping

This is a wonderful camp ground. We love coming here. It is such a pity you did not keep it open through the winter as McKinney is closed.
So all us winter campers can't camp especially during these difficult time.
Please keep it open next winter. I am sure it would be booked out throughout the winter.
