Mack's Creek is the perfect place for our entire family. We enjoy camping, paddling on our paddle boards, and boating on Lucky Peak reservoir. The beach area is perfect for the little kids to play in the sand.

Site #13 had a good amount of shade through out the day. The parking space is directly near the site which was nice. There are 12 semi-steep stairs to haul your items down to the site and back up when leaving. Good view of the lake and near the kids beach area. The rest rooms were clean and they provided trash bags to haul out your trash as well. We did have some racoons visit the camp at night.

My kids and I went, it was their first time camping and I was hoping for a family friendly spot and this was great! We got a site right near a beach that the kids spent the next two days at nonstop. Perfect spot to go lake camping!

We love camping at Mack’s Creek. It’s nice that the park has gone exclusively for campers and not day use users. There needs to be more help for the 1 camp host who is so busy on the weekends and gone Tue and Wed.

There are five RV spots in the upper campground. There is little shade, and it can be hot in the summer months. You should bring your own water as the available water is from a hand-pump well. Filling an RV tank is almost impossible from such a supply. The campground is really oriented towards tent camping, with nice shady spots down at the lake with docks for each site. In two days staying there, we never saw the camp host once. Overflow parking is on the main road. But non-campers use these spaces for daytime access to the lake. If you have a boat and tow vehicle to park, you have to wait until the illegally parked day visitors leave. The single vault toilet was clean and usable.
