RV sites are close to the road, but never bothered us when sleeping. A short walk to the test site gives you access to the water. Great camping site very close to Boise. Too bad the sites close very early in the year (mid-September) .

Beautiful campsites right by the lake. Stopped by for a night on a road trip and had no complaints.

Was warm, as expected when we got to the site, but it cooled down when the sun set. Site was clean and well kept (no trash).
Quiet area and was not bothered by the noise of passing cars (we were in a classB campervan) even throughout the night.

We really enjoy going to Mack’s Creek! You must have a reservation which keeps it from being crowded. Great play area for kids. The beach area is very clean. There’s a camp host and Park Ranger checking on things and confirming reservations. No cell service which is also great!

View and ambience is gorgeous and lake is warm in July. Seems like a hidden treasure for out-of-staters like us. Our expectations were middling before we arrived and Mack’s Creek over performed - big time. There were somehow no mosquitoes, but a local told us that wasn’t normal for July. No good drinking water on site so make sure you bring some. Boise is only 30m drive if you need anything.

Ratting is for the camp host not the campground. Awesome spot, one of our favorite. Problem is the camp host or lack of. Had people in the site next to us, crammed 4+ Tents and 10 people on a site for 2 Tents and 4 people. They were up yelling and making noise until 4am. Camp host did nothing to address.
