Macks Creek Campground

The weather was rainy but our family still had a wonderful time, campsite, docks, boat ramp and restroom are well maintained, we love spending time at Macks Creek

Beautiful location, but extremely hot temperatures so definitely bring a generator to run your AC during summer months. Our camper got up to 91 degrees even with the fan on and windows open during the day.

I had a wonderful stay. My only complaint is that there seem to be people there who don't belong there. I only say this because there are sometimes large groups of people on the beach that don't account for the sites. I also notice that the spots get reserved and people don't always show up. There are other spots that I would prefer to stay in out of the limited 5 RV spots, but they are usually reserved. When I get there, the sites are sitting empty. It would seem that they are reserving the site for the use of the docks and the beach and not using the site. This is not fair to those of us who want to use the sites. Please be considerate. I know that staff is doing their best with the resources they have to check that people registered. My comments are not towards staff. They are doing an excellent job.

Great place to camp close to Boise

Great spot overlooking the water and just a short walk to the private sandy beach. Bring solar light for your site to help navigate the gravel covered campground at night as it's got a slight grade. Amazing Sunsets and sturdy covered table area which we were able to put some hammock chairs on. Site 1 closest to a very clean restroom, site 4 and 5 best for larger than 20 ft trailers. Great hiking trails down the road. No cell service which we liked so download music beforehand.

We really enjoy going to Mack’s Creek so I rated it high. Unfortunately we ended up with that flu going around and it hit the entire family. Thankfully the Park Ranger messaged me and I was able to let them know. Was not able to cancel the reservation on line.

What a lovely site near the water

Great campsites. You can see the other camp sites pretty easily but your far enough away to have a little privacy. Pretty good shade available, plenty of docks to play on and next to the water.

The camp host, I think it was Annette. She was so cool! I started trying to schedule spots in December. I got 2. I think there should be some kind of lottery or you can only schedule so many nights in a row and that's it! They can't get it again. Also, my husband and I were telling her that we weren't sure if we were going to make it on Thursday last week. People do that and they don't call. If we could have a waiting list. I have lived here for 21 years and it is ridiculous. We would be up there all the time if we could ever get a spot. We love it there! Oh, this is for the RV area.
