Trash was an issue, the previous campers left their trash at the site.

Great campground to get away from the noise. We had intermittent light drizzle and some wind - scared off most of the reserved campers - we had the park mostly to ourselves. Nice boat ramp with several docks for overnight mooring, But if it gets busy, crowded, you may have to park your boat trailer somewhere down the street, if you're not using one of your assigned parking spaces. Make sure you know how many parking spaces your campsite has, as it varies per site. No cell service, but mostly clear skies from the parking lot for Starlink.

It was very peaceful and secluded. I loved the docks and water access. Fishing was ok. would recommend and go again.

Camping was right on top of each other. Toilet wasn't the cleanest.

Great views from the campsite. Some noise from the adjacent road, but the area was easy to get to.

The sites were beautiful and right on the water. The water is very low this year, as mentioned on the website but we still enjoyed a swim. There is no cell service at the site but there is service a short drive away and the campgrounds close proximity to Boise was very convenient. Overall, this was a great site!

HOSTILE camp “HOST”!! I cancelled ALL our future reservations for this park and I don’t plan to use again until they remove their hostile, aggressive and horrible camp “HOST” - Travis! We’ve used this park for the years it has been around and created some wonderful memories! But sadly this year the “HOST” is on a power trip and needs to be removed! The park was empty!! Totally EMPTY! And, among other things that I won’t bother to try and explain since I wouldn’t have enough room, he wouldn’t allow us to park by the dock where you launch the boats, to let our 77 year old mom out so she could walk down the easiest path!!!! His exact words were, “If I can walk up and down this after have a heart ablation, she can do it.” Are you kidding me?!!!!!!!!! This was just the beginning of the argument we ended up having with him and there is clearly NOOOOO reasoning with a guy on a power trip!!!!! I have a recording of our later interaction that I will be putting online to warn future campers. This is a HUGE problem and very unfortunate and honestly infuriating!!!! I tried to reason with him that when you have the opportunity to accommodate people why wouldn’t you?!! He couldn’t wrap his small mind around it and was beyond rude, argumentative and just plain arrogant. He clearly doesn’t care about other people at all. He should NEVER be hosting this campsite or anything for that matter. Take this review very seriously. After this happened I looked at the reviews and there is one person who took the time to leave a review whose also had a bad experience with their elderly mom! I’m sure after having TWO separate trips there where this guy has behaved the same way to us over different things, that there are other people who’ve experienced the same hostile and completely inexcusable behavior from this guy that just haven’t bothered to leave a review. Super sad and I can’t believe people can be so horrible. 😞

We really love this location for family Getaways since it’s close to home. We take floating tubes, sunscreen, umbrellas, food and lots of water for the entire day/night. The beach is monitored by the host and park ranger.

With local temperatures in triple digits, spending a few days camping on the shore of Lucky Peak was the ticket! Having a dock adjacent to the site for boating, swimming, fishing or just sitting on to read and enjoy lake-cooled breezes is a huge benefit of this site. Our camp host was very friendly and helpful, and kept the rest rooms and camp sites very clean and orderly. While the reservation system showed all sites fully booked, we saw very few overnight campers. Sites by the water had some visitors that stayed just for the day. As promised, there is no cell service at this site, and the resident trash pandas really did a number on our unsecured food box one night! Much-enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning.
