The first of our party of three drove in just after 2:00 pm. He hiked into one of the hot springs and did his rock hound thing. He was back at the cabin by 4:30pm. Wolves howling back and forth with each other till dusk.
My brother and I drove in after 9:00pm. Paved road had patches of ice. Dirt road had 3-5 inches of packed snow on it. Was 0 degrees with clear skies. Beautiful, but cold night.
Found cabin in good shape and clean. Lighting system was not working, but recreation.gov warned us before we went in. Cabin stayed warm thought the night. We restocked the firewood and cleaned the cabin before leaving.
Had a great time. Thanks!

Great stay at Stolle, rained most the time unfortunately but we made the most of it. Checked out 3 of the 4 recommended natural hot springs in the area. Only Molly's hot springs/tub was soakable and recommended, the others are too small of pools or not worth it however the hikes are still pleasant.

The family and I had a great time. The solar power lights worked great. The cabin is well equipped, roomy, and has a propane stove. The site was easy to drive to, clean, and has a hand pump water source. We didn’t use the dish, cook, or eating wear as we brought our own. A mouse was seen and heard on the first night, but we kept our food stuffs in plastic bins so no rodent problems where had.
Recommend bringing blankets or extra sleeping bags to use on the beds. The local water source has iron in it, may want to bring your own water as well.

There actually only a queen-sized bed and a full-sized bed. No matress in the trundle bottom-bring your own! Only one fork left, so either share or bring extras! Please only use white sugar to refill the hummingbird feeder at a 4 (water):1(sugar) ratio. Explore and Enjoy!

This was the 4th time I've skied into Stolle Meadows to stay at the cabin and have always loved the cozy cabin and have loved skiing in for the exercise and beautiful scenery. The first three times I skied in was over 10 years ago. What has changed? 10 years ago, the road was a normal, snowy backcountry road and skier-friendly. Snowmobilers have destroyed the road going into Stolle, making it a grueling, if not impossible ski-in. It is now a single-use road for only snowmobilers because they have created such huge ruts and bumps to ski over for 6.5 miles! It would be great if there could be signage or something to keep one small part of the road in good condition for skiers.... to make it a multi-user area. At the very least, the forest service needs to warn skiers that the huge snowmobile bumps and ruts make the trip extremely challenging, and that it will take much longer than expected to ski in than normal.

Great place to spend a weekend. Road was a little sketchy in the winter but was able to drive-in.
