Come on Forest Service - spend about $50 and fill those nasty pot holes that greet you as you enter the campground road. If they don’t wreck you tires, they’ll ruin your suspension.

Thousands of yellow jackets and they were aggressive, dried creek, and not much to do. Paid for 2 days left after 1 day in the morning.

Nice spot for one night. Glad they had tent-only sites, but some of them are very close together. Suprised that a tenter was using a generator, but at least it was off by 10pm. Creek was dry. Yellow jackets weren't as bad as I anticipated given warnings on recreation, gov.

Well getting into the campground was the hardest part. Pot holes the size of kiddy swimming pools. We popped a tire on the way out. Will not be going back until that is fixed. The one rv spot we picked was the only spot facing the wrong way so we had to go all the way down, turn around and go against the one-way to back in. Odd group of campers, many clearly living out of their vehicles and leaving and going at odd hours. Our neighbors sat in their truck the entire afternoon/evening with the motor running then again started up the truck at 3am until we left our site at 8. This would be a very nice campground if better maintained and actively patrolled. Sad since we have stopped here in years past and felt it has worsened. The dry creek bed is full of gorgeous red rocks and the trails behind are wonderful. Sadly the campground itself is a few notches less.

This is really a beautiful and quiet campground with access to hiking. Sites are fairly level. The campground host was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we had to leave after one night when we had planned four nights, due to hornets everywhere. We could not have any peace sitting outside or to cook. The host was helpful in supporting a refund appropriately. We would love to return.

I'm happy that the campground exists. It is close to the lake which is nice. Two things that were bad is 1) the access road has massive potholes that could have been fixed. One trailer axel was destroyed by them. VERY disappointing. And 2) this year the yellowjackets were very bad. The gist did his best to spray and put it traps.

Bees. So many bees. It was awful.
Beautiful campground, near the lake etc... but if you need to cook outside or want to sit around the campfire, the bees will get ya!
Literally THOUSANDS of them at our site (8).
