We have stayed here a few times over the past few years, it is often a nice quiet spot for a stop over on our way through northern Idaho.

The campground was nice and the host was good. The only down side was there were a lot of bees. They were pretty passive if you didn't scare them, but they were everywhere. Bring a netted gazebo or canopy if you have one.

They do have a bee problem this season. Other than hundreds of bees, it's a nice simple campground. There are 2 amazing hikes and site 14 has plenty of space. I was on my way to the Hiawatha bike trail and this campground is only 50 minutes from the trail. Pend Oreille Lake is beautiful, so if you love nature, there's much to do. I reserved a tent space, but as others wrote, it's not a very private area, so the camp host allowed me to move to an RV spot.

Beauty Creek campground was great. We enjoyed the location by the lake. It was peaceful, quiet, and family-friendly. Jungle Jim, the campground manager, was helpful and available. The pit toilets could use an extra cleaning and hand sanitizer station installed inside.

The road in was almost impassable. There were massive potholes that you couldn’t drive around. There was a wasp trap with swarming wasps right where the entrance of our camper would have to be. There was a car being lived out of near the entrance to the campground. The campground wasn’t well maintained. We didn’t end up staying and asked for a refund.

Scruffy but affordable primitive campground with great host. Decent location… you will travel 8 miles or more either way to get to a beach, but nice hiking trails nearby. Pit toilets no showers (as advertised).
Cons: potholes in road getting there will take your axle off. Sites appear overgrown and taken over by bees and wasps (fortunately of the non aggressive variety). You may want a mosquito net.

Very nice campground. The entry road needs work to fill in the huge 2-3ft long 10inch deep potholes.

Our campsite had multiple in ground wasp nests. We were swarmed eating and trying to clean up. Seems as if others were in a similar position. Campsite itself was HUGE, would be great for small groups or RV's, where you can hide in a hardshell from the wasps. The creek was dried up, but perhaps that's a consequence of the time of year we were there (July).

Beautiful campground, so close to Coeur d'Alene. We got super lucky with our site - it was super private and beautiful (site 13). The restrooms could have been a little cleaner - but they weren't horrible. Actually - one was horrible - full of flies, but we found a cleaner one further down.
In the morning, we were awakened by hundreds of birds all around us chirping together - it was lovely.
