What Guests Are Saying
Evergreen Campground is a well-maintained and quiet spot, ideal for campers seeking privacy and a peaceful environment. The campground features clean facilities and easy access to the scenic Weiser River trail, recommended for hiking. While some noise from the nearby highway is noticeable during the day, it doesn't disrupt sleep, and the friendly atmosphere among campers enhances the overall experience.

This spot was perfect for our little family. We stayed in site 11 and it had lots of shade, privacy, and two picnic tables. It was near the bathroom but not too close and right next to the water pump and next to the creek. The road noise could be distracting at times but honestly not horrible.

Great campground for access to the Weiser River Trail. Bathrooms were clean. Walking by some of the tent sites there was a lot of trash in the fire rings that never got cleaned out the whole time we were there (5 nights). RV sites were good with two double sites. #12 is a pull through site with the best river access. The only downside to the campground is that it’s right off the highway so you do get the noise from it but it does die down in the evening. Council is pretty close to the south and has a couple good thrift stores. New Meadows is north, also a good area for thrifting.

We love this campground. Bathrooms are immaculate. Pretty quiet at night too considering the highway is close.

Loved that this campground wasn’t very crowded - was peaceful and scenic with the exception of the sound of traffic on the highway. Our campsite #12 had good shade for part of the campsite, though the tent pad was full sun (and quite a few holes) We were quite close to the highway so could hear traffic through the night. Vault toilet was cleanest I’ve ever encountered. Water pump with potable water is tricky to use with one person.
Scenery was beautiful, loved the sound of the river. If we come back, will get site #5 or 6 as they are further from traffic!

This easy-to-access campground is small (only 12 sites) but each site is quite private. Since it is just across the Weiser River from US Highway 95 there is highway noise but it was not at all unbearable. We were there in the days following Labor Day so there were very few rigs in the campground.
The restrooms were clean. The well (hand pump) provided cold water. The elderberry bushes were loaded with fruit.
Overall it was a great experience and we will be back.

Beautiful campsite right on the Weiser River Trail. Only bummer is how close it is to the busy highway.

Site #12: Thick bramble prevented hanging the hammocks and significant road noise from US-95, but neither bothered us much. The access to the Weiser River was lovely with small fish and crawdads a plenty.
Great shade and absolutely the CLEANEST vault toilets we have ever used, and we use them at every campground we visit! Star-gazing was stunning even through the August smoke which seemed to go around us. It was a great launch for a day of riding the side by side!

We have been to Evergreen many times in the past and it is a beautiful setting. The problem we had this visit was being driven out by yellow jackets and hornets. We couldn't have any food open or do any cooking without being swarmed. Two in our party were stung and we finally resorted to cooking after dark and leaving early.

Excellent campground. Site was well maintained. Took lots of leveling blocks to get level. Close to the river with shaded tables. Restroom was ean and well maintained. Loved the accessibility to the Weiser River trail.
