Campsite was very good. Clean and fresh restrooms, plenty of garbage receptacles, and clean overall. Just wished the hydrant would have been operational. Had about 40 in our group, all tent camping. Plenty of room for everyone. The amphitheater and stage were perfect for our group activity. Will come here again.

It was a large campsite with plenty of room for the tents and vehicles of our group of ~40 people. There was lots of shade and the bathrooms were very clean. We spent the time playing games, fishing, and hiking in the area.

I love this campground and will use it again. There are lots of tables, a good water source and pit toilets that are very clean. Also there are bear proof garbage containers and food lockers available.
The only thing thing that is frustrating is it is a reserved only site and people don't respect the fact that when it is occupied they have not paid for the use of the restrooms and water.

Great place for a group site! This is away from the individual campsites so you can be all by yourself up there. (Rent the Forest Service cabin at the top as well to really keep to yourselves!) The kids loved having the small stream (creek?) nearby and had a lot of fun with the stage that they could use for performances. Plenty of shade, plenty of parking, plenty of seating. We'll be back!

From Dubois, Idaho: Travel north on I-15 to the Stoddard Creek Exit (Exit 184). Go east on West Camas-Miners Creek Road (FR 006) for approximately 14 miles to Steel Creek Road (FR 478), turn right and continue 0.75 miles to the campground entrance.
From the Kilgore Store: Travel west/northwest approximately 8.25 miles on the West Camas-Miners Creek Road (FR 006) to Steel Creek Road (FR 478), turn left and continue 0.75 miles to the campground entrance.
Steel Creek Group Campground is accessible via I-15, with the nearest exit (Exit 184) approximately 14 miles away, leading to West Camas-Miners Creek Road (FR 006).
