The road was absolutely terrible. So much damage was done to our trailer from both wash board dirt roads that we will never return to this camp grounds. We have camped at other Idaho federal campgrounds in Idaho and Oregon never have we experienced such a terrible experience. I gave you two stars but it should have been 1 star. We where there for Labor Day and you would think it would be full but it was more then half empty.

Beautiful area, lots of shade. The lake was low but that’s to be expected that late in the year.

Dirt roads to get to the campground and reservoir are a little bumpy/ difficulty for a large trailer. But totally worth it. Beautiful, picturesque landscapes. Clean, well kept, and quiet campground.

Sagehen is a majestic beautiful escape from the city, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. We will definitely return. Camp host was very helpful and friendly. Camp sites were clean. All sites had beautiful trees and plenty of shade. Vault toilets were as clean as you could expect. Lake was a welcomed treat in the heat of the day. I would recommend that you bring water toys, rafts, paddle boards, etc. REMINDER you must haul out your own trash
