What Guests Are Saying
O'Hara campground is praised for its beautiful setting and well-maintained spots, making it a favorite for many campers over the years. While some visitors encountered issues with camp hosts and the lack of a functioning water system, others reported positive interactions and enjoyed their stay. Overall, it remains a popular destination for outdoor activities, despite some areas needing maintenance.

Free of litter. Rangers came through every day. Garbage was taken care of adequately.
I wish there was a section for vehicles with generators at one end and one end for tents and trailers.
Unfortunately the Selway was chocolate brown flowing this year so we will be back next year to check it out for clear water!!

We stayed at campsites 13 and 30 during our stay. Both were very nice with river access.

There was no water available at the camp ground. Upon arrival the garbage dumpster was overflowing and wasn’t picked up until Thur so almost a full week of garbage smell and potential for animals in the campground. The site has garbage in it and I picked up the trash left behind by others. Very sad that this lovely campground hasn’t seen improvements except for new bathrooms in the 8 years I have been coming.

Great place to camp if you like dry camping. Quiet and clean. We visit, at least, once a year.

We utilize the O'hara campground with our family at least once per year. It was enjoyable and pleasantly quiet. There were only two items I would like to see improved. It appeared that last year at the same time the USFS had received the timbers necessary to repair the bridge. It still isn't repaired. Some of the timbers are sticking up to far. Last year there was someone's trailer disconnect brake cable stuck to the front of one of the boards. It's worse this year. It would have also been nice to have the water system working.
